The LS/FF GALA OPENING NIGHT PASS delivers a whole evening of the very best surf cinema, Q+A’s, icons, filmmakers, good times, and more PLUS a complimentary beer from our friends at Sharp’s brewery… all for £20. That’s a lot of good times for your buck!
The LS/FF NIGHT PASS for THURSDAY 23rd November celebrates that special convergence of tide, wind, swell and time, an elusive moment: RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME.
The evening travels from Europe to Hawaii and on to Indonesia though the 1970’s, 00’s to this very moment in time. Mundaka Dir. Jon Aspuru presented by legendary surf adventurer Kepa Acero takes us back to a moment where AI, The Goat and the hard charging locals tucked into the perfect day at this hallowed spot, accompanied by short films including Beyond Frames Dir Samuel Muller and Stoker Machine Dir. Darieus Legg.
After the break, the UK Premiere of eye opening, award-winning documentary Point of Change accompanied by Q+A with Dir. Rebecca Coley explores the unintended, dramatic and sometimes dark consequences of discovering the perfect wave.
The evening is accompanied by The Shorties shortlist films – the very best short films from homegrown filmmakers.
Head to the individual programme listings for full information about the films.
The night passes are limited, always popular and always sell out. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
