Super Happy Forever + Sake Sampling

21st Century Japan at Riverside Studios is back for 2026! This is a bold and exciting programming strand that brings new Japanese  feature films that missed out on a full UK theatrical release exclusively to our cinema.

Each film will be carefully chosen by Japanese writer and curator Kano Matilda.

This session's film is the multiple-award winning 2024 drama SUPER HAPPY FOREVER, directed by Kohei Igarashi.

We are delighted that our friends at The Sake Collective will once more have a selection of fine sake to sample in the foyer from 18:00 before the film starts at 18:45pm. Ticketholders who purchase the premium ticket option can enjoy a sampling from each bottle complimentary. Bottles of the sake can also be purchased from The Sake Collective during the evening.
