Fluent in God (An R&D at Riverside Sharing)

Sun 10 May 2026 19:30

‘For I have mourned my own pain, having poured it on his’ - Cassandra

Fluent In God fuses two Greek tragedies, The Trojan Women by Euripides and Agamemnon by Aeschylus into a searing retelling of Cassandra’s story. Cursed by Apollo to always tell the truth but never be believed, she bears witness to a war she cannot stop. As memory, prophecy and reality collide, the play confronts the systemic oppression of women, challenging the centuries-long default of violence. Who is believed? Who lives through legend? And who is sacrificed in the name of victory? Cassandra steps forward as a collective voice of those silenced around the globe. This is not only her prophecy – it’s ours.

Fluent in God turns Cassandra’s journey into a powerful window into the shared realities women face… Urgent, intimate, and deeply resonant, it’s a story that demands to be witnessed.’ - Eduardo Zucchi

‘Lilly Rose Zepeda’s Fluent in God is written and performed in a way that tethers our own souls to that of the characters, and we feel and experience the story as intensely as they do. It’s absolutely riveting from start to finish.’ - Carly Helms
