Platonic Co-Parenting Mixer

Sun 10 May 2026 13:30

Join our co-parent matching event at Riverside Studios!

"Platonic" or "intentional" co-parenting involve family set-ups where two or more parents have a non-romantic relationship. Possible frameworks could be, say, a lesbian couple and a gay couple sharing parenting responsibilities, or a queer person and a single straight woman. Many, many other configurations exist. The group was founded in late 2022 to fill a need among queer Londoners for community solutions for family-building.

This event at Riverside Studios is our first event open to LGBTQIA+ as well as straight people. The main aim of the event is for participants to meet prospective co-parents, and/or the village around which they could build a family.

After an introduction to platonic co-parenting, a quick guide to how to have respectful conversations and an explanation of how the rest of the event will work, participants will meet with their matches for 15 minute chats.

All attendees will be asked to fill out a form ahead of the event with their personal details and to provide information on the co-parenting situations and conversations they are open to. Matches with other suitable attendees will be made ahead of the event, and attendees will be given a schedule on the day. Therefore, it is important that all attendees make every effort to attend, as it will be difficult to rematch on the day.
