Lecoq Neutral Mask: Three-Day Masterclass
This three day intensive course brings the foundational training of the Lecoq School’s Pedagogy into full scope and allows participants to experience the foundational pillar of physical training which is Neutrality engaging participants to access a state of presence and spatial engagement, understanding the point-fixé and rhythm and timing alongside developing comprehensive techniques in Mime-based improvisations.
Sean Croft trained at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, he is a Director, Fight & Movement Choreographer, Teacher and Artistic Director of BodyScramble.
The Lecoq technique is about the performers engagement, listening physically and their connection in the space, this is achieved primarily with students training in The Neutral Mask and are recognised as essential tools to any professional working actor, in its most basic or grandest of themes. It is a style that hugs you warmly and sticks with you, adaptable and diverse.

Important:
Wear comfortable appropriate clothing that allows for ease of movement.
No shoes required, in fact bare foot moving is advised (slip-proof socks are permissible). As we engage in some contact work with other students, it is essential to observe good personal hygiene and wear clean movement clothes to class.

At the end of this course participants will:
- Have experienced and worked with The Neutral mask in various improvisations and have a solid understanding of Neutrality.
- Have a better awareness of their body, rhythm and presence in performance.
- Perform certain mime exercises and have developed skills in you own mime technique.
