Jadu (A Riverside R&D Sharing)

Sun 26 Apr 2026 19:00

JADU: Written and performed by Nehmat Singh, directed by Hasena Bibi.

Meet Parisa -

Actually.

You already know Parisa.

You’ve probably met a 1000 Parisa’s.

She’s the weird friend you went to uni with that never ”progressed” like the rest of you.

She’s the single friend you say you’ll set up with your boyfriend’s best mate Rup but you never do.

She’s the fun and crazy friend you go for a drink with but its never just the one drink is it?

Oh yes.

She’s the weird, single, fun and crazy friend your boyfriend said he never really “warmed” to.

But lets be real.

Your boyfriend is a douche.

She’s your favourite friend.

Meet Parisa – bright, funny, chaotic but somehow she can’t find a boyfriend. Fed up of online dating, she speaks to as many people to help her including conversations with her God fearing aunt Karma Massi, an app called Chatterjee GPT, lovely Rekha the Rekhi lady and Dev the Indian Pundit (pronounced Dave).

But what if the reason she can’t find love isn’t bad luck but a curse?

JADU meaning magic is a story about a woman finally allowed to see who she really is.

Recommended for 18+ only.
