This coming of age family drama set in 1969 charts the drive towards adulthood of Sally a young woman trying to find her place in the world. With revelations, secrets and lies beyond her control, will she fly or will she fall?
It’s Easter Sunday in 1969 and Sally Deacon, an intelligent young woman on the cusp of adulthood has her whole future ahead of her. Her brother and sister are home from their exciting London lives for the weekend as the family congregates at their local church for Mass followed by their traditional Sunday lunch at home. All seems right with the world. But something is not quite right. Her parents are arguing, her older siblings can’t wait to get back to London and her other sister is reluctant to come out of her room. The family struggles to keep things together, as revelations, events and secrets unfold that affect them all. Sally seeks solace and support from her best friend, her boyfriend and her parish priest. Will they help or hinder her and how will Sally navigate the future as more secrets unravel and the truth is out.
