Sweet Charity (Associated Studios Graduate Showcase 2026)

Wed 3 - Sat 6 Jun 2026

Sweet Charity follows the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine - a hopelessly romantic, eternally optimistic dance hall hostess navigating the chaotic streets of New York City. Working at the notorious Fandango ballroom alongside her fiercely loyal friends, Charity refuses to give up on her dream of finding true love, no matter the cost.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1960s New York, Sweet Charity bursts with energy, humour, and heart. First premiering on Broadway in 1966, this timeless classic features a score by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields, and book by Neil Simon, capturing the joy and heartbreak of life in the big city like no other show.

Packed with iconic songs and dance numbers, including Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now, and There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This, Sweet Charity is an uplifting celebration of resilience, friendship, and the enduring power of hope.

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of this Broadway classic, this exciting production is performed by the graduating students of Associated Studios - a leading British drama school committed to the training and professional development of Musical Theatre performers.
