After the workshop with Beth Flintoff we invite you to join us for Snacks ‘n’ Chats! We're holding tea for all workshop attendees from 1-2pm - a chance to get to know your fellow creatives, skill swap and, most importantly, eat biscuits.
Redrafting with Beth Flintoff
Congratulations! You’ve written a play (or most of it?) - an amazing achievement! Now what? Beth will take you through the process of honing and reworking your script, taking a fresh look at what your play is really about, and giving you tools to get the feedback you really need. This will be a supportive, practical workshop, with some time for writing, exercises and discussion, so please bring a project you are already working on.
Beth Flintoff is a playwright, dramaturg, and theatre-maker. She is an Associate Playwright at the Royal Court Theatre in London and an Associate Artist at RABBLE in Reading. Her published plays The Glove Thief, Rebellious Women and The Ballad of Maria Marten are regularly performed around the world. The Ballad of Maria Marten has toured the UK three times, been translated into several languages, and in 2024 it was NHB’s second most frequently performed play around the world.
WHICH TICKET TIER SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Offering affordable training is at the heart of SCRUM’s charitable objectives, which is why we have different ticket price tiers. We encourage you to pay what you can based on the below descriptors:
£12 - Subsidised ticket price - You have limited expendable income** and need to opt for the lowest cost option. If this cost is still a barrier, please contact SCRUM on [javascript protected email address]
£15 - Subsidised ticket price - You have some expendable income and can meet basic needs, even if there may be occasional financial stress
£20 - Full ticket price - You have a comfortable amount of expendable income, do not face financial barriers and are able to cover the full cost of the event ticket.
*BASIC NEEDS include food, housing, clothing and transportation.
**EXPENDABLE INCOME might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the cinema or a concert, buy new clothes, books and similar items each month, etc.
