Kicking off the widely acclaimed Season 26, Battlefield finds the Seventh Doctor and Ace entangled in a conflict between UNIT and a group of Arthurian knights from an alternate dimension. The Doctor must team up with the retired Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart to stop the sorceress Morgaine from locating the mythical sword, Excalibur, and triggering a nuclear apocalypse. Meanwhile a horned demonic entity, the Destroyer - Eater Of Worlds - is waiting in the shadows ready to be unleashed...
