Between Rivers

Between Rivers is an 8-piece band led by guitarist and composer Manuel Humaran. The group made its debut earlier this year at Riverside Studios, and since then have been performing across various well-known grassroots venues in London. The ensemble features some of the finest upcoming jazz musicians in the London scene, their unique sound comes from their blend of different styles such as jazz, funk and South American music.

Support act: Mako

Mako is an exciting new collaboration between David Harkness (drums) and Alex Wardill (saxophone).

The two met while studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and have performed in their own right at many London jazz venues including The Vortex, Ronnie Scott's, and the 606 Club.

Mako blends their shared love of music from the likes of Mark Turner, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Fred Hersch, Ben Wendel, and their distinctive personal styles. Playing entirely original music never heard before, this promises to be a thrilling set.  

Joining them are the talents of Ben Boardman (bass), Toby Evans (guitar) and Thomas Sladden (piano).
