Riverside Studios’ Bitesize Festival has rapidly become one of London’s most exciting theatre festivals, drawing over 6,000 attendees in just three years. In 2025, we’re expanding our creative horizons with the launch of the first-ever Bitesize Short Film Festival, and we want YOUR film to be part of it!

Taking place during the third week of Bitesize, this three-day cinematic celebration will showcase bold, original, and thought-provoking short films from emerging and established filmmakers alike. We welcome all genres—from gripping dramas and innovative animations and genre-bending storytelling.

We accept all genres within the narrative field excluding experimental.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

 

  • Completion Requirement: Films must be fully completed before submission.

        Submission Format: Films must be submitted via our FilmFreeway link.

 

  • Quality Standards: Submissions must meet minimum quality requirements. Films with a resolution below 720p or poor audio quality will not be considered.

 

  • Language Requirements: Non-English films must include English subtitles.

 

  • Premiere Status: we do accept world premieres.

 

  • Promotional Use: The festival may use portions of your film (including trailers, teasers, stills, or posters) for promotional purposes.

 

  • Rights & Ownership: You must own the rights to your film to submit.

 

  • Films must be under 15 minutes in runtime.
