Chris Cowey (born 1961) is a prolific English television producer. He has worked on the music programmes All Right Now, The Tube, The White Room and Check It Out. In 1997, he became producer of the BBC’s flagship music show Top of the Pops, recorded at Riverside Studios. He held this position until 2003, by which time he had worked with countless international artists including Elton John, Ricky Martin, Kylie, U2, Coldplay, Janet Jackson and Cher. Between 2006 and 2007 he was a judge on the ITV1 reality show Soapstar Superstar. He continues to direct and produce for television.
