Emma and Simon meet at a North London pub. The move in with each other four months later. Despite their financial struggles and lack of direction, they share a fervent dream. Emma, an aspiring actress, and Simon, a struggling writer, find solace in each other's company, united by their experiences of rejection. However, their bond is tested when Simon unexpectedly achieves success with a run at The Royal Court. As their paths diverge, they grapple with newfound insecurities and jealousy, challenging the very foundation of their relationship.
