Montes De Maria

From the Montes (mounts) Of Maria, (Carribean region of Colombia) lives the people of the 'gaita' a traditional instrument ancestral to the natives of the land before colonization. Mar Del Viento, and titii Orinoko, here to offer a Recitation of gaita culture in a variant format. The conversation of the gaita, based on the conversation of birds, as seen by the ancestors, has survived the test of the time and is before you.

Hide Takemoto features again at our Amore Music Evening. Hide is an phenomenal amazing seminal guitarist, who spans a wide range of music styles from Jazz, Flamenco, Latin, Rock, Classical and original compositions. Hide Takemoto is an international touring musician who has won the 2023/24 YAMAHA MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR AMBASSADOR AWARD. Come and experience an extraordinary talented guitarist from Japan, who refined his skills as a graduate of The Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Hide will transport the listeners and audience on a truly memorable expansive musical experience.

Featuring Henry Knudsen on Alto Sax & Peter Garvey on Piano & Guest Musicians. Solur Jazz Band will present some classical evergreen Latin Hits and Other Traditional Jazz tracks,inspired by the American “Song Book”. Henry Knudsen has been playing Jazz sax for more than 30 years, with a great love and dedication to Latin Jazz, Cuban World Music Jazz, and other Classical Jazz inspired themes.Henry Knudsen’s inspirations are :Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, John Coltrane,Dizzy Gillespie,Johnny Hodges,Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, Paul Desmond,Hugh Masekela,Coleman Hawkins,Benny Carter,Wayne Shorter, Michael Brecker and many more.Peter Garvey is an acclaimed pianist and composer, with a PHD in Composition. He is a very talented performer, and further also a very gifted music academic.Peter Garvey has been writing compositions for several decades and plays an eclectic range of music styles from Jazz to classical as well as being well versed in Folkloric European music.
