Coinciding with the release of the acclaimed new Bowie documentary MOONAGE DAYDREAM (also screening at Riverside the same day and throughout the week), this special double bill brings together the milestone Bowie concert documentary by renowned filmmaker DA Pennebaker; ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS, filmed just up the road from Riverside Studios at the landmark Hammersmith Odeon where Bowie 'killed' his iconic alter-ego, and CRACKED ACTOR, a cult BBC documentary in which Bowie is followed across LA by a BBC camera crew led by Alan Yentob for a touring portrait – the first real glimpse of him for UK audiences since the sudden disappearance of Ziggy Stardust two years prior and intercut with footage from the Diamond Dogs tour and studio sessions for Young Americans.
