Telling the story of MARTHA – the elusive founder of England's first Michelin star awarded Caribbean restaurant – and CLINT – a high-brow food critic – DOUBLES takes us on a cultural voyage over a three course meal with delicious twists at every serving.
Armed with the threat of a potentially explosive tip-off from an anonymous worker at the restaurant, CLINT has blackmailed MARTHA into a sit down interview, which he hopes will resurrect his fading career.
MARTHA, eager to suppress the scandal, reluctantly agrees to the meal but uses all of her cunning to try and snuff out who the whistleblower is with the hope of persuading them to retract their claims.
The audience will have a chance to put forward their views as to who the leak was and consider what drove them to take such drastic action.
