‘Evolution of Fishermen’ are a five-piece folk band, brought together by a mutual love of storytelling, unique harmony and original folk songs. They trained together as Actor-Musicians at university, the quintet formed in 2021 and have since embedded themselves in the London folk scene. Since forming, the band have played a successful string of gigs including playing Green Note, Old Blue Last, 02 Academy Islington, The Crescent: York, Wilderness Festival, Medicine Festival, Deershed Festival & Sofar Sounds. In the summer they co-composed the score with Stephen Hyde for Stafford Gatehouse’s production of Twelfth Night: a Cornish Tale They released their debut EP ‘Days Like These’ in May this year and launched with a sell out a gig at St Bartholomew the Great’s church in London. This is the first time Evolution of Fishermen have collaborated with Global Mosaic Foundation on a live show, they are very excited to be sharing this fundraising event with Global Mosaic Foundation.
