Proudly presented as part of our MADE AT RIVERSIDE strand highlighting the long history of film and TV production at the Studios!
Between 1957 and 1960, forty-one episodes of the iconic BBC comedy series Hancock’s Half Hour were either transmitted live from or recorded at Riverside Studios. This triple-bill of Riverside-recorded episodes sees ‘Anthony Aloysius St John Hancock’ perform jury service, borrow a damaged library book and attempt to swindle the National Trust.
Episodes:
Twelve Angry Men (1959, 30 mins)
Lord Byron Lived Here (1959, 30 mins)
The Missing Page (1960, 30 mins)
Hancock Exhibition: From 21 April - 24 July 2022, we will present a small display of memorabilia related to Hancock’s Half Hour, generously loaned by The Tony Hancock Appreciation Society. Including original scripts and props, this exhibition promises to offer a unique perspective on one of BBC Television’s most iconic programmes.
