Hatch & Scratch is all about hatching exciting new ideas and scratching them with some of the best creatives around. We work to encourage consistent practice, development and performance for writers, while offering a regular opportunity for actors and directors to work.

We originally hatched at the Golden Goose Theatre in November 2023, and since then have run every month, including three performances as part of Peckham Fringe Festival, until our Grand Golden Dozen Gala Night in December 2025.
This spring season, we welcome Temisanren Uwawah and Alison Viña as our first ever Resident Geese. They will write a new short play for each of our spring performances. They will be joined in March by our first Guest Writer of the year, Patch Harvey, alongside two of our founders; Kelly Long and Lauren Donoghue who are also contributing pieces.
We are excited to spread our wings at Riverside Studios, with performances every other month from March.
