AS FEATURED ON LATER... WITH JOOLS HOLLAND

Known as The Magical King of Soukous, Congolese super star Kanda Bongo Man was one of the earliest musical artists to introduce this music to the global international mainstream . He is most famous for his entrancing and mesmerizing guitar solos and riffs, that gave birth to the famous Kwasa Kwasa dance, championed by John Peel and Andy Kershaw in the late 80s!  Kanda’s music genius has always been driven by an aura of optimism, joy and and radiating happiness. His performances are exhilarating, exciting and energetic, and deeply rooted in the Congolese music tradition. With his incredible lively band supporting and fusing with him, don’t miss the unique experience of Kanda Bongo Man bringing you the joyous, ecstatic rhythmic music and dance of Central Africa.
