'Why Am I Telling You This?' Building Narrative in Film, Image, Word and Sound
London Surf / Film Festival x YETI presents a special story telling workshop hosted by Looking Sideway's Matt Barr
Exploring the art of creating engaging narrative through the mediums of filmmaking, writing, podcasting and photography, the workshop includes some of the UK's most respected surf storytellers including filmmaker Maddie Meddings, musician CJ Mirra, director Rebecca Coley, photographer/designer/ filmmaker Owen Tozer and writer / filmmaker Chris Nelson.
Navigated by Matt Barr, host of the essential Looking Sideways podcast – whose guests have included Rob Machado, , the workshop and panel discussion will focus on bringing a story to life, creating an engaging narrative that takes the viewer / listener on a journey, bringing together visual and aural elements - while focusing on specific examples to help illustrate this art.
Aimed at anyone interested in diving deeper into board sports culture, writing, filmmaking, music, photography or podcasting this conversation will be broadcast as a future episode of the Looking Sideways Podcast.
