The LS/FF NIGHT PASS delivers a whole evening of the very best surf cinema, Q+A’s, icons, filmmakers, good times, and more PLUS a complimentary beer from our friends at Sharp’s brewery… all for £20. That’s a lot of beautiful times for your buck!
The LS/FF NIGHT PASS for SATURDAY 25th November serves up a night of big conversations, big waves and even bigger concepts as we journey BEHIND THE CURTAIN.
Saturday opens with two powerful stories of reclamation, joy and challenging expectations. The World Premiere of Granny Grommets accompanied by a Q+A with Dir. Leah Rustomjee reframes the narrative around ‘age appropriate activities.’ Yama Dir. Maddie Meddings follows surf activist Lucy Small to Ghana to meeta pioneering crew of female surfers and skaters. Looking Sideway’s Matt Barr takes us on a campaigning journey from the macro to the micro with an exclusive screening of Turning Tides Dir. Antoine Couturier and the premiere of Blood Type: Plastic Dir. Owen Tozer accompanied by conversations with the filmmakers.
After the break we head to Oahu for Joe Alani’s award winning ‘Through The Doggy Door’ with Mason Ho and Sheldon Paishon. This must-see, intimate documentary follows a surfer’s dream to trade extreme poverty in paradise for the life of a pro surfer and a world of perfect waves. Accompanied by UK Premiere of The Hounds of The Storm Dir. Clem Mcinerney featuring Irish charger Connor Maguire and The Shorties shortlist film – the very best short films from homegrown filmmakers.
Head to the individual programme listings for full information about the films.
The night passes are limited, always popular and always sell out. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
