Moving Beyond Reality: Embodied Cognition and Neuro-Somatic Explorations in Virtual Worlds
Step into an immersive workshop bridging embodied cognition, neuro-somatic exploration (inspired by Awareness Through Movement (ATM)), and state-of-the-art VR technology. This unique session offers you an interdisciplinary experiential journey where your internal states are visually and interactively externalised through real-time biofeedback. Experience first-hand how your own physiological states dynamically influence and transform the VR environment, creating tangible connections between your inner world, movement, and a shared virtual reality.
Guided by radical accessibility and somatic principles, you'll engage in gentle, intuitive movements inspired by dance and ATM practices, designed to enhance self-awareness and collective coherence and explore with the translation of your data into a VR environment. You'll also be given an overview of the neuroscience of movement and embodiment, gaining a deeper understanding of how body awareness influences brain function and emotional states.
Witness the profound impact of collective embodiment, discover new pathways to connect deeply with yourself and others, and take away invaluable insights into embodied cognition and group coherence.
The workshop empowers you with direct visual and experiential evidence of how your inner state shapes your external reality. You will leave equipped with practical knowledge and tools to integrate embodied awareness into daily life, fostering lasting personal transformation and deeper interpersonal connections.
