Nestled in a highland community, the local Glenelg Post Office is on the brink of closing down. Putting pen to paper to send letters is becoming a thing of the past and with a new packaging warehouse springing up in the village, what was once the heart of the town risks being lost to a world moving forwards faster than it can handle. The postie's daughter, Hannah, however, has always seen things a little differently. To her, things are sometimes back to front. While she finds comfort and routine working with her two best friends in the new warehouse, her job threatens not only her own mother’s livelihood but the future of the whole community. While all her life it has been Hannah that has felt the wrong way round, it’s now the world around her turning upside down. In a story of love and letters, 'Palindrome’ is a heart-warming new musical about opening up, writing things down, moving forwards and taking a step back.
Palindrome: The Musical is an engaging, well-written original musical that will make you feel grateful for the friendships in your life (and maybe even want to send them a letter!). Broadwayworld.com
To leave a show smiling is perhaps the most important accolade, and Palindrome achieved that for everyone in the audience. A classic tale of friendship, families, and community, it’s hard to dislike a musical that is so unapologetically full of joy. Cambridgecreatives.org
