Regeneration at Riverside

Six Decades of Doctor Who

An exhibition, in collaboration with the BBC, celebrating the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who and its life at Riverside Studios.

This free exhibition will feature unique photography from the BBC's vast Photographic Archives, including seminal images of Doctor Who’s life at Riverside Studios. Riverside was the principal home of Series Two to Four of Doctor Who and, importantly, was where the first ever regeneration scene was filmed. Many of the series’ iconic characters – some of which are still seen on our screens today - were first unveiled at Riverside. Come and celebrate 60 years of The Doctor and the pivotal role that Riverside Studios played in the life of a TV icon.

With thanks to the BBC and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

NB: The exhibition is in Riverside Studios' atrium, and is available to view during the building's opening hours, which are 9am to 11pm.
