Ahead of Notting Hill Carnival on the August Bank Holiday weekend, we're excited to be hosting a Reggae River Sessions, featuring Duchess Daphne and Makeda Moore.
About Duchess Daphne
Duchess Daphne, born and raised in South London, has always had a love for Soul/RnB/Reggae music. Her Caribbean background is the foundation for her songwriting and style. She has collaborated with various artists and producers from Jamaica to the Netherlands, and of course London. A true lover of lyrics that are 'soul satisfying' and 'raw'. She has performed alongside the likes of Congo Natty (Rebel MC) and the infamous producer Mad Professor.

About Makeda Moore
It is not every day that a truly unique and powerful female vocal talent, with conscious resonance, emerges in the London Reggae scene, and what better year than 2023 to witness this rise of this pure talent. Makeda Moore is a testament to the notion that the coming years will see increasing feminine energies rise to take hold in spaces of influence. Makeda Moore has provided essential contributions to the London Reggae scene and yet as a solo artist, her talent has up until now, gone under the radar. Makeda showcases her fantastic vocal range amidst backing vocals of near gospel proportions, that steer the roots vibe towards a blend with R’n’B and Soul.
