Come and explore Riverside's rich dance heritage, discover the legacy of collaboration that continues here today, and be a part of building Riverside’s vibrant future!
Inspired by Riverside’s archival initiative, this series of free workshops will focus on movement as a way to connect us to our past, our present, our future, and each other.
Over four playful sessions, participants will use creative movement and composition exercises to learn about Riverside Studios’ dance history. We will explore how embodying this heritage can help us find our own artistic voices while creating new collaborative spaces. The project will be led by a team of diverse movement professionals and is open to movers of all ages and experience.
The workshops will culminate in an evening of movement and spoken word (on Monday 29th May 2023), where participants will share the stage with professional artists in a moving celebration of the Riverside of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Participants should be aged 16+ and can register to attend the course of workshops below.
