We are a fun monthly open mic night welcoming any form of spoken word - from poetry, to song, to stand-up comedy, to ranting about your day at work. The event will be mostly an open-mic; every now and then, we will have a featured artist to share with you.
Host: Kid Anansi – A London based poet who will have you laughing, crying, biting your knuckles in second-hand embarrassment, or all three; mixing history and melancholy with slapstick humour and inimitable energy. A regular face on the BAFTA Award winning first season of Life & Rhymes, and host of poetry nights around London: Extra Second London, That God Damn Poetry Jam & Word of Mouth.
The open rules are simple:
- Every open mic'er gets 5 minutes to speak
- No hate speech
