⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ – Theatre Weekly “a star in the making”
After a smash hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Spend The Night is a one woman, dark musical comedy making its London debut – where the slick wit of Victoria Wood meets the realities of the London dating scene. It takes place over 24 hours of a date; from the last-minute wax to the awkward morning after, and tackles the dangers and delights of dating apps, from screenshotting profiles to wanky wine bars and exchanging sexual preferences like shopping lists, it’s the perfect snapshot of sexual politics today.
Performed with a live band on stage, featuring original music written by and starring Tiffany Black (comedy writer/ performer), an alumni of Soho Theatre labs, recently shortlisted out of 1000 submissions for the Jermyn Street, Women in Theatre Lab for M+D, her latest play. Original music co-created with Film and TV composer Alastair McNamara, with credits including JUICE (BBC 3) and The Buccaneers (Apple TV) and select works produced by Casper Sanderson.
Working in theatre and TV, Tiffany’s recent credits include starring as Nancy Wake in The White Mouse, co-writing Jimmy and Lola: A Tale of Two Titties and BIRTHDAY for The OSO. Tiffany is writing her own TV projects and developing a slate of work with other artists.
