The Man Who Lives Under the Bed is a high energy performance of comedy, dance, poetry and music. It follows the dull life of a poor, small-town girl, Lauren, who falls in love with a man/monster who-lives-under-her-bed. He turns her world into a technicolor dreamscape, but leaves her to grow up and encounter the superlunary caricatures that exist in modern day England.
One minute you’re sitting in Wetherspoons sharing a WooWoo pitcher with your despised colleague, the next you're dancing on top of a pear tree with a bald green giant. With pretentious art school boys who won’t shut up about Shambala to rowdy pub landladies who use their pants to clean the bar… Will Lauren get what she wants in the end? Or will she forever be checking under her bed…
The highly charismatic duo Harrison Charles and Florence Pick had the audience in thrall with this funny, dark and anarchic love story of a teenage girl and the man under her bed. Music, dance, Louis Spence cameos and riotous fun. - Club Calpol
