Led by Psychonaut’s Managing Director, Arielle Zilkha, this workshop is designed for artists at any level who want to step into the role of producer and take strategic control of their work. The session will reframe your artistic practice through a producer’s lens, covering how to build a sustainable creative ecosystem around your work, whether you operate independently or as a company. You’ll gain practical insight into developing a clear artistic identity supported by a strong branding and production strategy.
We’ll explore essential producing skills such as building strategic partnerships, carving out your niche, strengthening your project pipeline, and raising your profile through targeted marketing and PR. The workshop blends hands-on exercises, reflective tasks, and open discussions. By the end, you’ll walk away with actionable tools and strategies, and a clearer roadmap for developing a distinctive, professional presence within London’s cultural landscape.
Arielle Zilkha is the Founder and Managing Director of Psychonaut Theatre, an international hub for performance artists, which she founded in 2021. She works as a multidisciplinary producer, theatre-maker, performer and composer across the London and international fringe scene, having trained on BA Acting and Performance at Wimbledon College of Arts and MA Advanced Theatre Practice at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She has produced and performed in Psychonaut productions in venues such as Tate Britain, The Koppel Project, Camden People’s Theatre and Riverside Studios.
Her producing practice sees her bring international productions to London, working with organisations such as the Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (Denmark). As the director of Psychonaut, she strives to create a space for international performance practices to be explored and for an alternative performance scene to thrive in the U.K.
