Nervosa Pictures is a London-based production company dedicated to narrative films, TV, and branded content with a unique focus on stories led by ambitious women. Working with creative agencies, clients, and producers, they bring humor-infused, London-centric stories to life, from early development to final production.
Alongside film and TV projects, Nervosa produces filmmaker-focused events designed to foster community, connection, and collaboration among creatives. THE FOUNDERS:
Alessandra Gonnella is a London-based Italian/British writer-director under 30, trained at MET Film School and specialized at the National Film and Television School. She directed several short films, including “A Cup Of Coffee With Marilyn” (2019), based on journalist Oriana Fallaci's pursuit of Marilyn Monroe, which won Italy’s top short film award. Alessandra later developed a TV series on Fallaci’s early career, winning the Best Drama Pitch at MIA Market in 2020, leading to a Paramount+ series. She is currently developing a Rom Com TV adaptation with Gaumont, a feature Rom Com with Signature, and performs stand-up comedy in London.
Giorgia Cecconi is an innovative filmmaker, rising star in film production, and talented actor known for her captivating storytelling. Recently, she successfully inaugurated the first year of the West London Film Festival, earning widespread acclaim. With a strong foundation in directing and producing, Giorgia brings authenticity and artistic flair to her work, often exploring nuanced human experiences. A true lover of romantic comedies, she is currently focused on creating new projects within the genre. Her dedication to fostering inclusive, meaningful stories makes her a standout in the industry, resonating with audiences and sparking thought and conversation.
