Riverside Studios ticketing operates on a show-by-show basis. Any deviation from the general policies outlined below will be provided in the online booking section for each individual show and will be available upon request from our Box Office staff.
BOOKING FEES
Booking fees are, as standard, £1.50 per ticket. Limited to 5 fees per booking. The fee applies to web & phone bookings, but not in-person.
PRICING
As a receiving house, Riverside Studios has no creative control over the pricing of any externally-produced content staged at the venue. As such, Riverside Studios is not responsible for any pricing changes or fluctuations, which are wholly at the discretion of the production, and any exchanges will be honoured at the price originally paid. Riverside Studios is also not responsible for any additional ticket offers that may be available through third-party ticket sellers.
REFUNDS
Under normal circumstances, Riverside Studios does not offer ticket refunds. In the event of a cancelled performance, you will be offered either a full refund or a no-cost exchange to a ticket to another performance, subject to availability in the same price band. Refunds or exchanges will need to be conducted within 3 months of the date of the cancelled performance, failing which the ticket price shall be considered a donation to Riverside Trust’s community programme.
Riverside Studios is not liable for any third-party ticket errors and will be unable to refund or exchange tickets purchased via ticket agents. If a performance is cancelled, and you purchased a ticket from a ticket agent, you will need to approach them for a refund/exchange.
Riverside Studios and event promoters are not liable for any personal travel, accommodation or hospitality arrangements made relating to the event or the cancellation of any event.
UNAUTHORISED SALES
Riverside Studios has a zero-tolerance approach to unauthorised sellers and touts. Should we be made aware of any ticket that has been sold through an unauthorised channel we will cancel the ticket without refund and the ticket holder will be refused admission. No ticket may be sold via any platform for a price higher than the face value of the ticket.
For the avoidance of doubt, reselling sites that are unauthorised include, but are not limited to, eBay, Viagogo, Twickets, Stubhub, and Tixel.
Authorised resellers include TodayTix, London Theatre Direct and See Tickets. From time to time producers of shows at Riverside may set up their own box office website on a page dedicated to the show itself. Such sales are authorised and the tickets will be honoured. Should you have any queries about the legitimacy of tickets you see on sale please contact us to check before making a purchase on 020 8237 1000 or by email - [javascript protected email address].
LATECOMERS
Note that each theatre show at Riverside operates a different policy with regard to latecomers/re-admission. As a general rule patrons shouldn't expect that latecomers will be admitted once the show has started or if they leave during a performance and request readmission. We reserve the right always to refuse admission without offering a refund in those circumstances. If there are any exceptions to this rule, it will be noted on the show's specific event page on our website.
CHANGES
Riverside Studios reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised programme at any time and without advance notice. We cannot take responsibility for any cast illness, injury or appearance of a cast member etc. We can only refund or change tickets if we cancel the event completely.
On occasion, it may become necessary to make alterations to your originally booked seating (for example, due to changes to the seating arrangements, or to make provisions for access performances) - any changes made will be of equal or higher value to your original booking. Such decisions are at the discretion of the production, but we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible before your performance.
BOOKING ERRORS
A valid ticket, digital or physical, must be produced to get into an event. Removing any part of, altering or defacing the ticket may invalidate your ticket.
It is the responsibility of the attendee to ensure your order/tickets are correct, and to contact us immediately if there is a mistake. Riverside Studios will not be responsible for any issues that occurred as result of a booker’s mistake. Any known issues with your order that have occurred as a result of the venue will be communicated to you as soon as reasonably possible.
CONCESSIONS AND DISCOUNTS
Riverside Studios operates a “Babes in arms” policy for appropriate performances. Babies and very young children aged 24 months or under are granted entry to a performance without a ticket, provided they are then seated in the lap of their accompanying adult and do not take up a seat for themselves.
Concessions are entitled to a discount on some performances. These concessions are made in partnership with visiting producers, and the details of the concessions available will always be included on the show’s page on our website. Proof of identity and concession entitlement (e.g. valid ID showing age and/or student status) may be required before receiving your tickets and/or admission into the event.
RIGHT OF ADMISSION
The management reserves the right to refuse admission to and/or eject any person appearing to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or otherwise behaving dangerously or inappropriately or who, in our opinion, interferes with other patrons’ enjoyment of the performance or screening. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
We reserve the right to require you to prove your age with appropriate photographic ID if you are going to a 12A, 15, 18 film or purchasing an alcoholic drink. If you are unable to prove your age you will be not be able to watch the film or buy an alcoholic drink. We reserve the right to ask for such proof at any time you are on our premises.
Children under 12 can be admitted to films classified as 12A but only if accompanied by an adult (i.e. someone over the age of 18).
Riverside Studios reserves the right to provide alternative seats at an event to those specified on the ticket, should the event production/staging require it. Alternative seating will be of a similar standard and will be no less than the face value stated on your ticket.
Failure to comply with any of the above Terms & Conditions will make your ticket and transaction void.
DONATIONS
We have suggested that a donation of £3 be added to your booking in support of Riverside Studios. Every penny contributes directly towards our mission to bring people together, unlock potential and spark positive change in the world. Fundraising plays a major role in helping us deliver our artistic programme, our community programme and our heritage project. Riverside Studios aims to be an independent home for new, innovative and international work, for an audience which is accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Making a donation is not compulsory and you can choose to opt out online before confirming the purchase by selecting the ‘REMOVE’ button in the Basket.
Why not just increase ticket prices?
We appreciate that ticket cost is an outlay in and of itself. Some people are able, and willing, to add an additional voluntary donation that suits them, and this may change from one booking to the next.
After you have selected your tickets there is a clear option to remove the voluntary donation from your basket.
I made a donation by mistake, what should I do?
Please let the Box Office know immediately if you have made a donation in error and we can arrange a refund. They can be reached on 020 8237 1000 or by email to [javascript protected email address].
