Riverside Writers Group Showcase 2026
The Riverside Writers Group is a five month writer's cohort launched at Riverside Studios in February 2026, led by actor, writer, and award winning facilitator Nadine Gray.
The programme brings together eight emerging playwrights who have spent the past five months developing new theatrical work through a combination of group workshops, and 1:1 mentoring by Nadine.
Throughout the programme, writers have explored character, dialogue, structure, subtext, world building, and storytelling, while developing their plays within a supportive and collaborative creative environment.
The Riverside Writers Group Showcase will take place across two evenings, with the cohort split across both performances. Four writers will present their work on the first evening, with the remaining four writers presenting on the second evening.
Across the two nights, audiences will experience excerpts from eight original new plays-in-development, with each writer presenting a 20–30 minute section of their work.
The showcase is an opportunity for audiences to experience exciting new writing at an early stage of development, while also giving the writers the chance to gain feedback that will support the continued growth of their work from extract to full length play.
