This summer, as Riverside Studios celebrates 50 years of championing creativity, innovation and artistic risk-taking, we invite you to discover the next generation of artists at Bitesize Festival VII.

Marking five years of Bitesize Festival, this special anniversary edition is our biggest yet: five weeks of programming, over 50 shows and events, a three-day Short Film Festival, and a £50 Bitesize Pass offering exceptional value for audiences looking to experience as much of the festival as possible.

From 27 July - 30 August 2026, our annual festival returns, transforming Riverside Studios into a vibrant hub of theatre, film, music and visual art. Over five weeks, emerging and established artists will take over our stages, screens and galleries with bold ideas, fresh perspectives and exciting new work.

Since its launch, Bitesize Festival has become a vital platform for artists at every stage of their careers and a place for audiences to discover the cultural voices of tomorrow. This year, as we celebrate Riverside Studios' golden anniversary, we're looking ahead to the future of creativity.

Alongside an exciting programme of theatre, film, music and visual art, Bitesize Festival VII features a number of key events throughout the summer. Join us for the Exhibition Launch on Saturday 8 August, celebrating this year's visual artists, before our Music One Day Festival on Saturday 15 August brings together nine live acts for a day of performances across Riverside Studios. The festival continues with the Bitesize Short Film Festival from 21-23 August, showcasing bold new filmmaking talent and innovative storytelling. We then conclude with our Awards Night on Sunday 30 August, celebrating the outstanding artists, productions and creative achievements that have made this year's festival so special.
