"Sparrow conjures up echoes of the sort of magic Life of Pi had..." (From West End Best Friend)
A lost theatre drifts on the ocean in search of land and audience. The stage is populated with failed dancers, voiceless singers, tight rope walkers who have run out of balance, actors with terminal stage fright and mimes surrounded by immutable walls. Ivan, a struggling dancer, has been forced to leave his village and seeks to join this troupe of banished performers. He rows out in pursuit of the floating theatre in hope of finding solidarity with his fellow thespians. However, since Ivan fled his home, his mother has been acting strangely and every morning the fishermen spot her fishing for a blue whale with only a piece of string and a pink tutu strapped on her head. Performers Travel Guide is a fantasy adventure written and performed by Scott Sparrow.
